Darkmoon isn't great. You'll be be genuinely better off damage wise with the banished knight greatsword infused with magic, and using a good damaging weapon art on it. That's the biggest problem with elden ring at the moment is just R1's don't do good damage. Hell, get a noble side sword or a straight sword and use it with magic infusion.

I swapped to it after using dual Jawbone Axes, and boy was it a good choice. The R2 can be tricky to pull-off without being interrupted, but it’s huge when it works.
